We all had suspicions that Guardians Of The Galaxy
would be connected to the wider tapestry of the Marvel cinematic universe.
And now Guardians director James Gunn has confirmed
it, stating that his sci-fi comic book epic will link up with Marvel's other
mega super-team.
Speaking to EW.com, Gunn simply stated "We are
definitely connected to Avengers 3."
As for how or why, we're putting our betting money on Big
Bad Thanos appearing. He's confirmed
as pulling the strings of some of Guardians' main villains, and he's
already popped up in the post-credits sting for The Avengers, which
makes the movie maths relatively straight-forward.
Guardians Of The Galaxy hits cinemas from 1 August 2014.
